Saturday Roundup: Cross Country finishes 11th at State, theatre competes and more

See how North Henderson’s extra curricular activities performed on a busy Saturday.

Cross Country 

After placing second at the 3A Western Regional last week, the Cross Country team produced a solid performance and placed 11th out of 16 teams.

Hunter White led the Knights by placing 8th as the talented sophomore recorded a time of 16:19.36.

Other finishers for the team were Dylan Christopher (56th), Cole Borlee (74th), Jose Rodriguez (79th), Austin Edney (119th), Will Baldwin (125th), and Andrew Hernasy (140th).

White placed first out of all Henderson County runners competing in the 3A race.


North Henderson traveled to Concord, North Carolina on Saturday night to face a tough Cox Mill team who is ranked first in the State.

The Knights (10-15) lost by a score of 9-0 to the Chargers (22-1-1).

North finishes the season with a 10-15 record overall and 7-7 record in conference play.


The advanced theatre class took a trip to Gardner-Webb to perform a humorous student-written play in the NCTC competition. The group earned an outstanding award in production and design and an excellent award in costumes.
