Soccer

Wednesday: Pisgah 1, North Henderson 4 (Overtime)

After a tough loss to Franklin on Monday, the soccer team played at Glenn C. Marlow stadium for the last time this season for a conference matchup with Pisgah on Wednesday.

The Knights struggled early on as Pisgah found the net only a few minutes in the game to take an early 1-0 lead.

However, with twelve minutes to go in the first half, Ulises Ordoñez scored a goal for the Knights to even things up with Pisgah at the half, 1-1.

After North celebrated their ten seniors during the break, the two teams couldn’t get things going on offense and ended regulation at a 1-1 tie.

In overtime, the Knight offense got the ball rolling with a goal from Jouse Santos three minutes into in the extra time period. It was Santos striking again minutes later to give North a sizeable 3-1 lead.

Senior Michael Guido scored a goal of his own with a minute to go in overtime to finish off the North’s big win by a score of 4-1.

North is now 9-13 overall and 6-6 in their conference.
