Staff Report

When the North Henderson volleyball team started their 2016 season back in August, they were expected to be a force to be reckoned with in the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference.

Now, at the end of the season, the team has shown they lived up to the hype throughout the season by finishing second in their conference as the team ended their campaign with a 3-0 win against Smoky Mountain (25-6, 25-9, 25-21) this week.

With Caroline Marsh and company leading the way on Tuesday night, the Lady Knights finished the season with a 19-2 overall record and 12-2 record in their conference.

As of Wednesday afternoon, North is ranked fifth in the 3A State Maxpreps rankings and twenty-second overall in North Carolina.

The team will find out who they will play in the 3A State Playoffs on October 25th.
