Football: Tuscola 54, North Henderson 14

North Henderson played host to a undefeated Tuscola team on Friday night.

North quickly got on the scoreboard with a four-yard rushing touchdown from quarterback Kalin Ensley. After Tuscola blocked North’s extra point, North had the momentum early with a 6-0 lead.

Although, Tuscola quickly got on the scoreboard themselves with a 35-yard rushing touchdown with 6:57 left in the first quarter, and the dominant Mountaineers found the end-zone shortly after with a passing touchdown to have a 14-6 lead over North.

After another Tuscola touchdown, North’s Kingston Thomas took a fumble recovery 54-yards and slimed the Mountaineer lead down to 21-14.

Tuscola had a 34-14 going into the halftime break.

The Mountaineers would come out of the break firing on all cylinders and scored twenty unanswered points to beat North Henderson, 54-14.

The Knights will now play Franklin next Friday at home.
