Marching Knights produce solid day at Enka, place second

Staff Report 

The North Henderson Marching Knights traveled to Enka High School on Saturday afternoon for their first competition of the year. In total, there were four divisions (1A,1AA, 2A, 2AA) competing and seventeen bands were in attendance.

The band, led by drum majors Katy Martin and Jared Ellis, produced a solid show and placed second in Class 2A, second overall out of the four classes competing and barely missed out on a first-place finish overall.

The color guard and drum major sections both placed first out of all the bands that performed. The percussion section placed third in Class 2A, and the band as a whole placed second in the music category in Class 2A.

The Marching Knights will travel to A.C. Reynolds next Saturday, October 1st for a competition at 4:30 PM.
