The Lady Knights came out hot and could not be stopped in the First Set and won it with ease 25-7. After that, you couldn’t expect anything more from North… unless you’re on the team. They returned to the court hotter than before, you’d think a fire was burning from the gym floor. Teegan Bullock (Sr.) came up to serve and North scored a point. She keep serving and the Lady Knights kept scoring. She held service for easily 10-15 points and it made me lose count. The senior credits her teammates on scoring while in the rhythm of serving for such a long time. “I just stay focused on serving in for my team and they help me do the rest” said Bullock. North took set 2 big, 25-2.

Not only did Bullock have such a run, her teammate Aly White (Jr.) held service for just as much time, somewhere between 10 and 15 points. She pushed the Lady Knights back from a 3-0 early deficient as well. Then late in the Match Set she lost it making the score 24-7. White spoke on her mentality of staying in her rhythm, “I’m just always thinking next play, and that helps me a lot. I get that momentum and you never want to stop”.

She knew what the next play was going to be, and so did the entire team. The winning point which put the Lady Knights another W in the win column, and the game versus Asheville 3-0 (25-7, 25-2, 25-7). North now sits at 3-1 going into conference play on Thursday when they travel to West Henderson for one of their 2 annual clashes with the county power-house and cross town rival. Match time set at 6:30 PM.

In JV action, the Lady Knights stay undefeated taking their match 2-0 (25-21, 25-13) to also complete their season sweep of the Cougars. They are now 3-0 and open their conference play at West Henderson too on Thursday at 5:00 PM.
