Going into the second half at Hendersonville on Monday night, the Knights Soccer team trailed 1-0, a place they know too well. In their first 2 games of the season they only led in 8 minutes of game time. North lead a strong attack with around 3 minutes left in the 2nd half but a shot wouldn’t fall. At halftime they would regroup, then go out and try to even the score.

The Bearcats however held possession after possession on their side of the mid-line. North struggled to even get within 40 yards of the goal offensively. The Hendersonville defense held the upper hand but that didn’t mean the Knight’s couldn’t hold them to one score.

Josue Solano (Pictured) had many saves in the 2nd Half including a magnificent one-handed block in the upper left on the Knight’s goal around 24:00 left. The Junior had 8 (on 11 shots) last Wednesday at Highlands in North’s 2-1 victory.

JV took their game by a score of 4-2. The Varsity team moves to 1-2 after the 1-0 loss at Hendersonville. Their next game will be Wednesday, August 23rd, at home vs. Asheville Cougars. Game time set at 7:00 PM.
